The Harbinger of Spring
Matt from North Bridger Bison, who field harvested this large bull bison, said that Sandhill Cranes are the “Harbingers of spring.” An apt name for this magnificent piece. Wild roses grow rampant in this part of Montana, painted here as a wreath around the dancing cranes. Painted with gouache, liquid charcoal, and mica-infused watercolors.
